From midnight to 10am on Sunday, the Penang Bridge will be temporarily closed for the Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM).
PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS), in a statement today, said the bridge would be working as usual from 10am upon completion of the event.
“As such, PLUS urges the public to utilise the Sultan Abdul Halim Muad’zam Shah Bridge (Second Penang Bridge) as an alternative and obey all on-site instructions.
It said, “PLUS thanks all road users for their attention and cooperation.”
It stated that highway users might contact the PLUSLine at 1800-88-0000 for traffic updates or assistance during crises.
After a two-year break, PBIM, the largest annual sporting event in the northern peninsula, returns with an anticipated 26,000 participants.
