AirAsia’s iconic FREE* Seats campaign has once again made headlines, this time with the launch of the FREE* Seats Town initiative in Penang, marking its first appearance in the city. This campaign is part of AirAsia’s strategy to boost travel demand and make travel more accessible and affordable for a wider audience.
The FREE* Seats Town campaign in Penang is highlighted by the availability of 12 million promotional seats across more than 130 destinations within AirAsia’s extensive network. This move is seen as a significant step forward for the airline, particularly as it aims to end the year on a high note and set a strong foundation for the first half of 2025.
According to Paul Carroll, Chief Commercial Officer of AirAsia Aviation Group, “We are thrilled to witness the increase in travel demand this year and to be able to accelerate this growth by offering 12 million guaranteed promotional seats this time, ending the year on a high note.” Carroll emphasized that this final quarterly sale represents a substantial step forward into the first half of 2025, aligning with the airline’s vision of making travel accessible and affordable for everyone.
The campaign offers a wide range of destinations, including popular spots in Southeast Asia and beyond. Travelers can enjoy free* seats to destinations like Bangkok (Don Mueang), Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu (Sabah), Chiang Mai, Bali (Denpasar), Jakarta, and Manila. Additionally, fares to further destinations such as Perth, Maldives, and Iloilo.
The booking period for the FREE* Seats campaign and the Big Sale started on 2 November 2024 at 12pm (GMT+8) and will continue until 10 November 2024. Guests can book their flights via the airasia.com website or the AirAsia MOVE app. During this period, guests can also enjoy a 30% discount on the Value Pack, which includes baggage, seat selection, and a Santan meal when purchased during the initial flight booking.
