The Penang state government has approved RM129,900 from its Youth Development Fund to support youth development initiatives across the state.
The allocation will fund 68 programmes run by 48 associations, covering skills development, marketability, volunteerism, and leadership. It forms part of a larger RM200,000 budget designated by the State Executive Council.
Penang Youth, Sports and Health Committee Chairman Daniel Gooi Zi Sen said the funds are not mere financial aid but a form of trust given to youth associations to realise ideas, creativity and initiatives through programmes that give real impact to society.
Recipients must implement programmes with integrity, transparency, and efficient management. Success should be measured not just by activity execution, but by the long-term impact on participants and the wider community.
