Karnival Mega JPJ Madani 2026, a three-day event marking the Road Transport Department’s 80th anniversary, will take place at Stadium Negeri Pulau Pinang in Batu Kawan from 24 to 26 April 2026.
The event offers several freebies for Penangites. Motorcyclists can claim a free one-litre engine oil change, with 500 available each day, totalling 1,500 over the three days. The offer is limited to Malaysian citizens whose MyKad matches the motorcycle owner, for bikes with engines of 250cc and below.
A helmet exchange programme allows visitors to swap old, broken or non-SIRIM spec helmets for new ones. A total of 5,000 units are available across the event, limited to one per person for Malaysian citizens aged 16 and above with valid MyKad.
Parents can also collect free helmets for children aged five to nine, with 1,000 units available over the three days, limited to one per family with identification required.
For those eyeing a new registration number, JPJ is clearing 50,000 leftover popular category number plates at half the usual price. Popular numbers are priced at RM250, while attractive numbers go for RM500.
