Sunway Carnival Mall has kicked off the holy month of Ramadan with their annual Hari Raya event. This year’s theme is inspired by the lighting of oil lamps during Ramadan, which is a significant tradition for Muslims. The mall’s decor features contemporary Islamic motifs and illuminated structures with concepts of geometry and light to symbolize diversity and uniqueness among people.
The launch event was attended by several prominent individuals, including Tn. Mohd Azraie Bin Ramli, State FAMA Director, En. Shahrul Aman Sabir Ahmad, Director of Tourism Malaysia Northern Region and Ms. Charlene Marie Samuel, Director Autism Behavioral Center. The mall’s general manager, Mr. Chai Wen Yew, shared that Sunway Carnival Mall’s vibrant, beautifully lit decor provides the perfect setting for families to bond, shop for the festivities, and break fast together with their diverse selection of food and beverage tenants.
Shoppers can expect exclusive redemptions and entertaining events while they shop for the upcoming Raya celebration. The mall has also collaborated with the Federal Agricultural Marketing Agency (FAMA) to provide a diverse selection of cookies, local delicacies, and accessories to complete shoppers’ Raya shopping. Additionally, the mall is promoting sustainable development by creating charming mini lamp shades using upcycled cans collected from their F&B tenants.
Sunway Carnival Mall has launched a new initiative to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The Autsome Calm Room and Sensory Wall are located on the mall’s second floor, providing a safe and quiet space for individuals with ASD to decompress and calm down when feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. This initiative aims to promote inclusion and understanding of individuals with autism in the community.
