GEORGE TOWN: In the spirit of Ramadan, Amari SPICE Penang united with the local Bayan Baru community on Wednesday, March 13th to distribute 500 bowls of the traditional Bubur Lambuk porridge. Led by General Manager Mr. Noorazzudin Omar and the hotel’s department heads, the team brought the flavors of this beloved Ramadan delicacy to the Ramadan market at Masjid Umar Ibnu Al-Khattab.
“The objective of this program is a time of sharing, and spreading the love and goodwill of Ramadan with the local community, thus strengthening our neighbourhood relationship,” stated Mr. Omar. The distribution was part of Amari’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to usher in the holy fasting month.
The Bubur Lambuk was lovingly prepared by Executive Chef Azmi Affandi and his culinary team using a treasured family recipe from one of the hotel’s associates. Passed down through generations, the dish’s rich flavors reflect the essence of Ramadan hospitality.
The Bubur Lambuk giveaway will be an annual tradition at Amari SPICE Penang, strengthening their bonds with the local community each Ramadan through the unifying power of food and cultural heritage. The hotel looks forward to continuing this act of goodwill in the years to come.
