BUKIT MERTAJAM (BERNAMA): The Penang Road Transport Department (JPJ) issued a total of 162 summonses during an operation conducted in Jalan Arowana, Seberang Jaya in Bukit Mertajam on Sunday, March 3, 2024.
According to a statement issued by the department on Monday, March 4, 2024, a total of 410 vehicles were inspected and action was taken against 92 of them for various offenses during the three-hour operation which began at 2pm.
The statement revealed that 162 summonses were issued for various offenses, including driving without a valid licence, with expired motor vehicle license (LKM), no insurance coverage, tinted mirrors and vehicle modification without permission. The operation was carried out by JPJ to crack down on traffic offenses in the area.
