Lenovo has released the IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12 across Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia and North America, putting the 15-inch laptop on sale in markets that include Malaysia and Singapore, Notebookcheck reported. The machine pairs an AMD Ryzen AI 5 330 processor with a 50 Wh battery.
In the United States the laptop starts at $799, the same entry price as its IdeaPad Vibe 15 siblings. Prices listed for the other launch markets run to AUD 1,829 in Australia, CAD 1,099 in Canada, HKD 8,949 in Hong Kong and SGD 1,570 in Singapore. Malaysia is named among the launch markets, although no Malaysian price is listed for the model.
The 15-inch panel is a 1200p IPS screen with 400 nits of peak brightness, a 60 Hz refresh rate and 45% NTSC colour coverage. A 1200p panel carries 1,920 by 1,200 pixels, which leaves more vertical room for documents and web pages than the 1080p screens common at this price. The battery is rated for up to 16.8 hours in official 1080p local video playback tests.
Configuration is where the regions part ways. Shoppers in the United States can order 8 GB or 16 GB of memory with 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. Some markets receive 24 GB and 32 GB memory options instead, along with a choice of plastic or aluminium base panels. The 32 GB ceiling matters in this segment, where sealed memory cannot be raised later.
The laptop is an $800 competitor to the MacBook Neo, LIGA.net noted, and its memory configurations and the material used for the bottom panel of the case change from market to market.
The 15AKP12 is one of three IdeaPad Vibe 15 models that Lenovo now sells. Benchmarks from the same publication place the new model between the IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 and the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12, trailing the first by 6% in CPU workloads and leading the second by 33%. Its Ryzen AI 5 330 sits at the bottom of the group in GPU tests, which means graphics work suits it least of the three.
AI PC labels have become part of how budget laptops are sold. Processors in this class carry a neural processing unit, and the figure buyers are shown is the chip’s TOPS rating, a measure of how much on-device machine learning work it can handle per second rather than how quickly it opens a spreadsheet. Lenovo detailed the IdeaPad Vibe family at the end of September, after showing the range at IFA 2026 in Berlin earlier that month.
The line covers 14-inch and 15-inch sizes in several colours, with AMD and Qualcomm processors on offer and Intel versions promised for later. The 15AKP12 takes the entry slot among the AMD machines, which leaves the 15AGP12 and its Gorgon Point chips above it in the range.
