Uzbekistan Young Judokas Dominate Penang Open International 2026 with Multiple Gold Medals

Young judokas from Uzbekistan have delivered an impressive performance at the Penang Open International 2026 competition, securing multiple gold medals across several age and weight categories in the Malaysian state of Penang.

The international tournament, held for junior and youth age categories, saw representatives from the Pantera Sport and Poytaxt clubs under the Judo Sport Club record a series of high results on the tatami.

In the B8 age category (under 28kg), Rustamov Azizbek outclassed his opponents to claim gold. Xamidullayev Umar secured the championship in the B11 category (under 45kg).

The B13 age category proved particularly fruitful, with Abdulloh Murodov (under 30kg), Muhammadyusuf Qutbiddinov (under 50kg), and Botirboy Shoanvarov (under 55kg) all finishing unrivaled in their respective weight classes. Abdurahimov Muhammad also earned gold in the B15 age category (under 45kg).

Karimov Muhammadali took silver in the B13 age category, while Abdulboriy Abrasulov claimed bronze in the same age group.

The results once again proved that the young Uzbekistani judokas are ready for competition on the international stage, with a new generation emerging on the tatami.
