Ombak Ramadan Dulang Set @ Mercure Penang Beach
The tradition of Makan Berdulang is often practised in villages where special occasions are celebrated together within their community. This custom of communal dining had since faded with the passing of time. Mercure Penang Beach humbly takes this special occasion to relive the age-old tradition to all guests by offering a feast.
A sumptuous dulang set will be presented to guests. For starters, we have the traditional ulam-ulaman(salads) with sambal, followed by the main dish consisting of chicken varuval, beef or chicken satay, ayam masak jintan, okra in fish curry, petai prawn sambal, stir fried assorted vegetables accompanied with nasi biryani. A selection of desserts to fulfil your sweet indulgence – buah kurma, soup ayam, bubur pulut hitam, choice of teh or nescafe tarik, sirap bandung or soya bean and lastly, assorted cakes.
