HACIPUPU creators Agee and Yep will meet fans at POP MART Gurney Plaza on 2 August, marking their first appearance in Penang. The Meet and Greet coincides with the launch of several Malaysia-exclusive collectibles, headlined by the HACIPUPU Honey Bear figure.
The Honey Bear goes on sale at the Gurney Plaza store from 24 July. Inspired by honey and bears, the figure gives HACIPUPU a new look made exclusively for Malaysian collectors, according to a press release issued by GO Communications for POP MART.
From 24 to 28 July, customers who spend RM49.80 or more on HACIPUPU products in a single transaction at POP MART Gurney Plaza can enter a lucky draw for a Signing Ticket. The Meet and Greet begins at 2PM on 2 August, with winners attending during the timeslot on their ticket.
Each winning ticket admits one person. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Only official HACIPUPU products are eligible for signing, with each winner allowed up to two figurines signed by the creators. Photo opportunities with the artists are available, but selfies are not permitted.
The wider Malaysia-exclusive collection includes a HACIPUPU storage bag and pendant, available at POP MART stores nationwide. A Malaysia-exclusive fridge magnet will join the line-up at a later date, with release details to be announced through POP MART Malaysia’s official channels.
Known for its endearing characters and playful storytelling, HACIPUPU has built a following among designer toy collectors. The event forms part of POP MART Gurney Plaza’s opening programme, bringing together an artist appearance, exclusive releases and fan engagement.
The HACIPUPU Honey Bear is available at POP MART Gurney Plaza, Level 1, Lot 170-01-27/28/52. The Meet and Greet takes place at Gurney Plaza, Ground Floor, Main Wing, in front of Le Labo and Armani Exchange.
