Penang Police On The Hunt for Two Men Who Shot Up 4WD in Street Chase

Penang police are seeking two men involved in a shooting at a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle occupied by a local man outside Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Nyior. Deputy police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin reported that, according to initial investigations, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle discharged five shots at the vehicle.

Police received the first report regarding the incident at 5.40 pm. Officers responded immediately, conducting an on-site investigation and initiating efforts to locate the suspects. Datuk Mohd Alwi stated, “Preliminary investigations revealed that during the incident, a local man in a four-wheel-drive vehicle was waiting for his child in front of the school when suddenly a motorcycle carrying two men arrived and fired five shots at the vehicle.”

The victim, described as a man in his 40s, was unharmed during the incident. The suspects and their motive remain unidentified at this stage.
