We know you hate keeping up with the ever changing SOPs so here is the FMCO Phase 1 SOPs in a nutshell.

  • 2 pax per car limited to 10km radius from home for essentials only
  • 3 pax per car limited to 10km radius or nearest emergency service for medical emergencies
  • 2 pax per car including driver for E-hailing services
  • Death and natural disasters (permission from PDRM needed)
  • Vaccination appointment (must show proof of appointment)
  • Port and airports allowed
  • Public transport services (reduced capacity to 50%)
  • Transportation of workers (reduced capacity to 50%)

Economic sectors allowed to operate

  • Food and beverages
  • Health and medical care (including dietary supplements, animal care and veterinary services)
  • Water
  • Energy
  • Security and safety, defence, emergency, welfare and humanitarian assistance
  • Solid waste management and public cleaning and sewerage
  • Transportation (land, water and air)
  • Services and operations of ports, shipyards and airports (including loading, lattice transportation, cargo handling and piloting, and storage or bulk commodity)
  • Communications (including media, telecommunications and internet, post and courier, broadcasting)
  • Banking, insurance, takaful and capital markets
  • Community credit (mortgage only)
  • E-commerce and information technology
  • Production, distillation, storage, supply and distribution of fuels and lubricants
  • Hotels and accommodations (for the purpose of quarantine and isolation only)
  • Critical construction, maintenance and repairs
  • Forestry services (limited to enforcement) and wildlife
  • Logistics (limited to delivery of essential services)

Commercial sectors allowed to operate

  • Shopping malls to close except for eateries (for takeaway and delivery only), convenience stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets (food, drinks and essential sections only), pharmacies and optical stores
  • Restaurants and eateries
  • Laundry and dry-cleaning
  • Petrol stations
  • Pet stores and pet clinics
  • Optical shops
  • Hardware shops
  • Automotive service shops (repairs and spare parts)
  • E-commerce (all products)
  • Wholesale (essential items only)
