After much debate over the past few days about the reimplementation of MCO, Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob finally addressed the country on 4 May 2021 and declared that 6 districts in Selangor will be put back on MCO from 6 to 17 May 2021. Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat, and Sepang are the six Selangor districts affected.

Interdistrict movement is now prohibited under MCO, but most commercial operations are still permitted to operate with shortened operating hours. Ramadan bazaars are also permitted to run in MCO districts, with state government closures at their discretion.

MCO (PKP):

  • Kelantan
  • Selangor – Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat, Sepang
  • Pahang – Gali, Tras

CMCO (PKPB):

  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Selangor – Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor
  • Pahang – Raub
  • Penang
  • Johor
  • Sarawak
  • Sabah

RMCO (PKPP):

  • Kedah
  • Melaka
  • Negeri Sembilan
  • Pahang (with the exception of Gali, Tras, and Raub)
  • Perak
  • Perlis
  • Terengganu
  • Putrajaya
  • Labuan

SOP for Hari Raya 2021

Ziarah Hari Raya allowed as below:

MCO: 1st Syawal only (limited to 15 people)

CMCO: 1 – 3 Syawal (limited to 20 people)

RMCO: 1 – 3 Syawal (limited to 25 people)

EMCO: Only limited to the family of the same household. Not allowed to leave the house. No visitation.

  • Rumah Terbuka (open houses) are strictly not allowed.
  • Graveyard visitation only allowed for CMCO & RMCO areas but limited to 30 minutes & 6 people per graveyard. MCO and EMCO strictly not allowed.
  • Except for those under CMCO & RMCO, Eid prayers in mosques are strictly prohibited for MCO & EMCO areas.
  • Interstate travel is still not allowed.
