Legendary Hong Kong pop group Grasshopper is poised to make a powerful comeback in Malaysia with their highly anticipated “Re: GRASSHOPPER Concert Tour 2025.” The concert is scheduled for 27 December 2025 at 6 PM at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting, promising to be a spectacular finale to the year.
This concert marks a significant revival for the group’s Asia tour, which was postponed last year following member Remus Choy’s brain surgery. His inspiring recovery has paved the way for Grasshopper to bring their boundless energy and timeless hits back to their Malaysian fanbase for an unforgettable night.
Celebrating 40 years since their debut, Grasshopper has provided the soundtrack to countless lives. The “Re” in the concert’s title, “Re: GRASSHOPPER,” symbolises the group’s resilience and rebirth. Calvin Choy explained the meaning: “It’s about Recover, Restart, Reunion, and Rearrange. After Remus’s recovery, we are restarting this journey, reuniting with fans across Asia, and rearranging our classics to bring a brand-new experience.”
The concert will feature Grasshopper’s signature megahits, including “Love Trap,” “Half a Heart,” “Forget Love Samba,” and “Baby, I’m Sorry.” Fans can also anticipate dynamic dance routines, engaging audience interactions, and reimagined renditions of their greatest songs. New tracks will also be showcased, such as “Old but Spicy,” a spirited anthem penned by Remus himself, celebrating resilience, growth, and an enduring passion that defies age.
When discussing the restart of the tour, the trio humorously compared it to sharing a Hong Kong hotpot. Calvin grinned, “Once you’ve had it, you’ll always want it again, the second time is bound to feel different.” Edmund So added, “And this time, there are new dishes!” Remus further commented, “And extra spice, I wrote the new song ‘Old but Spicy,’ because just like ginger, the older it gets, the stronger the flavour.”
