G Hotel inks MOU with INTI International College Penang

GEORGE TOWN: G Hotel has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with INTI International College Penang. The signing ceremony took place at G Hotel, marking a significant step towards nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals in Malaysia.

The collaboration aims to provide INTI College students with internship opportunities at G Hotel, offering them hands-on experience in a premier hospitality setting. Both institutions will also engage in joint research projects, focusing on innovative practices and sustainable solutions within the hospitality sector.

As part of the agreement, industry experts from G Hotel will conduct guest lectures and workshops at INTI College, sharing valuable insights and best practices with students. The partnership will also facilitate career development programmes and job placement opportunities for graduates, ensuring a smooth transition from education to employment.

Mr Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel, and Mr Thomas Ch’ng, Director of Human Resources, signed the MOU on behalf of G Hotel. Mr Tan Khee Chiang, Financial Controller, and Mr Bernard Krishnan, Director of Food and Beverage Department, witnessed the signing.

Representing INTI International College were Chief Executive, Hemalatha Murugiah, and Head of School of Hospitality and Culinary, Mr Jeff Lim Chang Wei, as signatories. The Senior Manager of Career Service Department, Mr Yeap Chang Lee, and Senior Lecturers from the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts were present as witnesses.

Mr Hanratty expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This MOU signifies our commitment to nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals and underscores our dedication to excellence and innovation in the industry.”

Ms Murugiah added, “This collaboration with G Hotel provides our students with invaluable real-world experience and aligns with our mission to deliver quality education that meets industry standards.”

The MOU between G Hotel and INTI College reflects their shared vision of advancing education and professional development in the hospitality sector. Together, they aim to create a dynamic and skilled workforce ready to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality and tourism industries.
