G Hotel, a premier hospitality brand in Penang, has launched a heartwarming community outreach program to spread joy and goodwill by distributing Kuih Raya to the public.
The hotel’s CSR team, known as G Care, organised an initiative to share the blessings with the local community. The team, along with a group of volunteers, prepared and distributed a total of 200 packets of assorted traditional Kuih Raya to motorists and passersby in the area.
“The activity of packing and distributing Kuih Raya during Ramadan is to promote the spirit of goodwill and community togetherness particularly during the holy month,” said Mr. Michael Hanratty, the General Manager of G Hotel. “We are honoured to be able to participate in this traditional practice and give back to the community during Ramadan. We hope that our contribution will bring some comfort and joy to those who receive it.”
G Care, a dedicated team of 19 volunteers from various departments within G Hotel, is committed to enacting positive change in the community. The team’s efforts are not limited to this Ramadan outreach program; they also organise other community initiatives and implement sustainable practices within the hotel.
